encaustic workshop for beginners
This introductory, one day course in encaustic painting will teach participants to paint in the ancient, non-toxic medium of beeswax-based paint. Each workshop takes place in my studio and features basic core information, including the history of encaustic, health and safety, and the fundamentals techniques of painting and fusing. The workshop will cover the following painting techniques: how to create depth and transparency, texture or ultra-smooth surfaces, image transfer, stencils, and collage.
